• Document intake. Pulling structured data out of statements, receipts, and PDFs.

These share a shape: lots of repetition, clear rules, and a human currently doing the tedious middle. That's exactly what an agent does well.

Keep it on your data — and often on-prem

Client financial data is sensitive, and trust is the product. So the architecture matters as much as the model. A custom bookkeeping agent that runs against your systems — ideally on-premise or in your own cloud, with least-privilege access and no training on client data — is a very different proposition from pasting a client's books into a public chatbot.
